Thanks to support from fellow Hawkeyes like Cooper, we’re helping create a brighter future for young patients and their families.
The University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital is Iowa’s only nationally ranked comprehensive children’s hospital — and the proud home of the best tradition in college football, the Hawkeye Wave.
As part of an academic health care system, the hospital provides specialized care from birth through adulthood, advances pediatric research, prevention, and treatment, and trains the next generation of children’s health care professionals.

Our Fans
Caleb Schor
A mother recently contacted about her son, Caleb, who is evidently one of Cooper and Reed’s biggest fans!
“My 8 year old son, Caleb, is one of Cooper DeJean’s biggest fans. With that in mind, a couple months ago, we surprised him with the bowl and cereal set and he was beyond excited. Since then, we’ve made a couple more purchases of cereal. We are all sad to know it’s coming to an end, especially Caleb!
Caleb loves football and is a huge Eagles fan, but his all time favorite out of everyone is Cooper DeJean by far. He talks about him all the time and quite literally aspires to be just like him. He has a small but growing collection of trading cards, a jersey, a book about Cooper, a framed picture of the Super Bowl pick 6, plus so many drawings he’s made.
He doesn’t know it yet, but for his birthday in August we are surprising him with the Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship summer camp. He does not have an autograph for either of them yet, and I know it will mean the absolute world to him if he were to get one. I wanted to share a few pictures as well, and even if Caleb is not selected to win, we wanted to let you know how much Cooper means to him and hopefully the message can be passed along so he knows.
In one of the pictures is his response he wrote which I think my husband submitted separately, but wanted to share it.”
